TEC Certification (MTCTE)

In order to sell telecom equipment in India it is a mandate to acquire TEC Certification. This obligation of TEC certification implies to all the importers, manufacturers, brand owners and distributors/dealers. Once TEC certificate under MTCTE ( Mandatory Testing and Certification of Telecommunication Equipment ) is obtained, the telecom product is considered valid and eligible for sale in market.

Who needs to obtain TEC Certification? 

All the importers, manufacturers, distributors, dealers and brand owners who wish to sell their telecom products in India must acquire TEC certification from the Ministry of Telecommunication, India.

Step-2: Allotment of Testing Lab. 

Step-3: Submission of Samples for Testing. 

Step-4: Receiving of Test Reports.

Telecommunication Engineering Center Certification

Any manufacturer, Importer or Brand owner of listed telecom equipments need to obtain TEC certification for their product, provided by MTCTE (Mandatory Testing and Certification of Telecom Equipments)

TEC certificates are valid for a term of 10 years w.e.f. 1st July 2022. Prior to this the validity of TEC was for 5 years.

There should be TEC logo and other relevant information clearly visible on the product once its certified.
